Terms and Conditions of Membership at NCMA

Presentation of Membership Card

I understand that:

- to receive any discounts associated with an Encore Membership, my membership card must be presented at the time of purchase or booking.

Fees, Hire charges, alternative arrangements and cessation of lessons

I understand that:

- Membership fees at NCMA are a fixed charge, which expires at the end of the calendar year.
- Charges for lessons, classes and instrument hire are set at fixed rates for each school term or part thereof.
- Lessons, classes and instrument hire fees will automatically roll-over to the following term within the enrolment period, unless written notice is delivered to the NCMA prior to the end of the present term.
- Reductions or refunds do not apply for late cancellations, enrolments or non-attendance.
- Where a teacher is unable to deliver a Community Course lesson at the planned day and time the teacher will offer a practical alternative arrangement for the lesson. Provided reasonable notice is given no refund of the per-term charge for lessons will be payable where a student cannot attend the rescheduled lesson.

Privacy and storage of personal information

I agree NCMA may collect and store personal information about my household and any students I have enrolled with NCMA for the purposes of organising and furthering their musical education and development. I further agree such information:
- will be stored using secure third-party commercial database services,
- may be communicated between NCMA Administration and Accredited Teachers provided any communication of personal information occurs via secure, verifiable and retractable digital media,
- will not be shared with other members of the NCMA community or anyone outside the community without my permission.

I agree to receive communications from NCMA that they deem relevant to:
- my use of NCMA facilities, including lessons, classes, my development in the sound arts and my performances,
- other opportunities for education and development in the sound arts offered by NCMA, as well as other opportunities to participate in the NCMA community,
- information about NCMA student performances, and other concerts, performances and events held at NCMA.

NCMA may take photographs and audio and video recordings of students I have enrolled at NCMA for use in NCMA publications, productions, or for use on the Internet. I agree that NCMA students featured in such materials may be identified by name, and that these materials may be reproduced by the general news media in connection with NCMA. NCMA will endeavour to seek specific permission from Caregivers, where practical, prior to the release of any media featuring students.

Health, Safety and Security

I agree to uphold NCMA's Health and Safety Policy (available at https://ncma.nz/health-safety/) when I use NCMA facilities or participate in NCMA activities.

I agree to uphold any responsibilities required of me for the Security and Safety of NCMA Facilities and users as detailed in NCMA's Security and Safety Policy, Child Protection Policy, and Access Cardholder Agreement.
